Hello my dear friends,

I have a precious friend living in the Amazonas, her name is Zorayma Carlo. Since I met her almost 10 years ago she always has such a passion for missions. I've been reading her newsletters for a long time now. I love her passion for Christ but this week when she sent this pdf my heart leaped...I want to do something. Personally, my Bible is my treasure...how could I live without God's word? Not having a Bible in my life in my native language when I was growing up would have been horrible..not knowing HIS heart for me. But I am forever grateful, He found a way for me.
Let's find a way for the Jivis!

Kindness Matters for 11 more days

Hello!
Yes indeed...the stamp set Kindness Matters is retiring in 11 more days. :( This stamp set has been my favorite of this last 2 years. I have several samples made with it and it is indeed my usual stamp set to give new beginning stampers. WHY! Well, it has two sentiments and several images...is simply great. Plus, who doesn't need to make some thank you cards. Yeap! We ought to be even more thankful!

Si definitivo...el set de sellos "La Amabilidad Vale" se retira en 11 diitas mas. :( Este set ha sido uno de mis favoritos en los ultimos dos anitos. Tengo bastantes tarjetas que he hecho con el y es mi set que siempre recomiendo a mis amigas nuevas en el arte de estampar. PORQUE? Fun Rosette Tutorial for you!

 Hello my dear friends,

Yesterday I showed you a cute project with the My Paper Pumpkin Kit

Seriously! Today I finished my cute tutorial in how to make the rosette I used for my box.

Ayer les mostre un proyectito lindo con el kit de My Paper Pumpkin Seriously (seriamente)! Hoy les termine un divertido tutorial en como hacer la 'rosette' que use para decorar mi cajita.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

QUICK TIPS ON ROSETTES

One quick tip when you make your rosettes is measure the top of your box and figure what size rosette you want to cover it with. If your rosette needs to be 3" (as the one we made here) then cut your strips of paper half  that size; in this case 1 1/2".  Nice and easy for any size you need!
Another quick tip, if you want flatter rosettes, score your strips closer together...for example 1/2" in every side for 1/4" folds. :)

TIPS EN ROSETTES

Un pequeno tip en el tamano de los rosettes es medir el tope de la cajita donde la quieres poner y decifrar de que tamano la necesitas. Si quieres un rosette de 3"(como la que hice aqui) entonces cortas tus pedacitos de papel a la mitad de ese tamano. Por ejemplo a 1 1/2". Chevere y sencillo!

Otro pequeno tip, si deseas rosettes mas planas, has las lineas de repujado mas cerca una de la otra. Por ejemplo, has el repujado a 1/2" por cada lado para que puedas doblar en zigzag cada 1/4". :)

For my card I wanted to say to my dad I love him (so I decided to not ink the part that say "your guts". I'l explain, one of the sentiments that comes with this set is :"love your guts". Lol!

Love the flexibility of these stamps.

Para mi tarjetita le quice decir a mi papa que lo amo asi que con un marcador solo le puse tinta a la parte que dice "love you" y deje la parte que dice "your guts" afuera. Jiji!

Me encanta la flexibilidad de estos sellos.

Simple Teacher's Gifts

Does it ever happen to you that you want to give something cute to say thank you but have NO IDEA what!!!? Well...it happened to me! And after a night trying to come up with an idea in the morning I came up with these for my girls teachers.

I love using cellophane bags and little things I have at hand.

 

No te pasa en ocasiones que quieres hacer algo bonito para las maestras y NO TIENES IDEA que!!!? Bueno... me paso a mi. Ya luego de pasar la noche pensando que hacer en la mananita se me ocuirrio hacerles estas bolsitas.

Me encanta poder usar lo que ya tengo en mano para crear.

 

One of my favorites stamp sets is retiring so I'm making the most of it before it goes away. Is the always versatile and beautiful KINDNESS MATTERS.

 

Uno de mis sets de sellos favoritos ya se va a retirar al final de mayo. Es el  siempre versatil y bello KINDNESS MATTERS o la 'Amabilidad Vale'.

 

I used the also retiring color BAJA BREEZE and Real Red.

Very simple 3 x 3 cards with envelopes.

Use el color BAJA BREEZE que tambien se esta retirando :( y el Real Red.

 

1. Place candy in a cellophane bag

1. Pon dulces en una bolsita celofan

 

2. Die cut a Scallop Square (retiring die) from Baja Breeze cardstock (retiring)

2. Corte un cuadrado festoneado con el troquel 'Scallop Square' (retirandose) de la cartulina Baja Breeze (retirandose)

 

3. Emboss with Vintage Wallpaper (retiring) y fold in half

3. Haga repujado con el archivo "Vintage Wallpaper" (retirandose) y doble a la mitad

 

4. Place the Designer brads (retiring) on 3 of the Daisy Paper Flowers (retiring)

4 .Ponga la tachuelita de Disenador en tres flores de papel Daisy (retirandose)

 

5. Pierce your Scallop Square and insert the Designer brad through the front.

5. Haga un hoyito en su cuadrado de cartulina e inserte la tachuela de disenador  al frente.

 

6. Punch a Real Red Itty Bitty circle and place in the center of brad with a glue got.

6. Ponche un circulito de los de Itty Bitty Punches en color Real Red (rojo) y pongalo en el centro de la tachuela con una puntito de pega.

 

7. Finish up your brad with the epoxy clear sticker on top.

7. Termine su tachuela con la calcomania de epoxy con la que vienen.

 

8. Die cut some Little Leaves with the sizzlit and adhere with a glue dot

8. Corte unas hojitas con la Big Shot y el troquel sizzlit  "Little Leaves" y adhiera.

 

9. I place the topper on my bags after done with staples on top and on the side behind my flower. :)

9. Puse mi tope en las bolsitas grapandolo por detras de las flores arriba y al lado. :)

I do enjoy having a bit of time to create things out of the box...this time I mean the Paper Pumpkin box. The April's kit brought enough material for 4 cards...thou u could easily make it to 6 or 8 cards adding one more piece of CS...

Im making a tutorial for you. Is easy to make with just one 8 1/2" x 11" piece of Cardstock. I used Very Vanilla for this project plus all the accesories that came in My Paper Pumpkin box.

I will miss this stamp set / Voy a extranar estos sellos

Seems like such a sweet, simple set but when you look at it twice you just gotta love it. If you place "Printed Petals" here on the SEARCH box to the right you will be able to see many samples with this cute set. Today I made one simple card inspired by two challenges.

 

Pareciera un set de sellos dulce y simple mas cuando lo miras dos veces te fascina. Si escribe "Printed Petals" en la cajita de SEARCH  a la derecha vera varias versiones que he hecho con este ello. Hoy hice una tarjeta sencilla inspirada por dos retos...

Less is Moore guidelines are to use colored cardstock as my base for a ONE LAYER card.
"Menos es Mas" dice que usemos cartulina de color como base (no blance o vainilla) para una tarjeta de una sola capa.

 Crazy4Challenges C4C185 photo inspiration is NO RULES really...just be inspired by the picture.

I used it here to make a bit of a frame around my stamped images for added interest.
